Cat & Cookie & Jared, too

Cat Bordhi, Cookie A., and Jared Flood are coming to City Knitting to conduct workshops. Be sure to check our classes page for details.

Cat will offer a 10:00-5:00 class on Tuesday, August 26, and another on Wednesday, August 27. There are a few spots left in each.

Since we are open on Tuesdays until 9:00 pm, and since some of you signed up for Cat’s second class have some homework to do, we invite you to Cat Bordhi study hall. During Tuesday nights in July, get your baby sock knitting homework done and get to know your future classmates at the same time.

Cookie will be here for an afternoon class on Friday, October 10, and morning and afternoon classes on Saturday, October 11. All classes are filled, but we want to build a waiting list. Details are posted on our classes page.

Jared Flood, whose Brooklyn Tweed knitting blog we enjoy so much, will be at City Knitting Friday and Saturday, November 7 & 8. Three classes and a lecture are planned!

Thanks so much Lorilee. That makes more sense.

  6. Just got your comment about my lost needle. If the kinds of connections between people that blogs permit aren’t the coolest thing ever (!!), I don’t know what is. Anyhow, thanks for your offer to look for it, but I must not have been clear; I bought the needles in your store last May (was at Calvin’s literary fest with my Mom; we’re both alumnae) but lost it somewhere in Brooklyn, where I live. I had to break down and replace it with a wooden needle. It’s just not the same, but I am sworn to finish it! When I do, you can be sure it will appear on my blog!

I just want to thank you again for your (monumental!!)patience and kindness in helping me last Thursday night. Now I’ve got he “I’m too afraid I’ll screw this up so I just won’t start it” phobia but I am determined to work through it (knitting as therapy - who knew?!?). Thank you again - I’ll see you Thursday night for part 2 -

  8. Thank you everybody at City Knitting! The LNYP on the 22nd was lots of fun. Val and I so enjoyed everyone’s company and the inspiration we got from being around such creative and innovative people in a great atmosphere. Hey Jessica, I’m enjoying the blog. We’re looking forward to the next party!

  9. I absolutely LOVE the know your cuts of lamb shirts! I live in Iowa and wondered if there was a way to order one. Can you email me privately and let me know? Sorry to do this in the comments, but I couldn’t find a shop email address anywhere.

  11. Hey everybody! I had a great time at the happy hour for Debbie Stoller this evening. Thanks Lorilee, Jessica, Kim and Darlene for making it a fun night out. I’ve posted a few pictures from the event on my blog if you’d like to check it out.
